• Allow multiple cropping options 1:1, 4:3, 16:9 on featured image editor

    It would be great if the featured image editor offered multiple cropping options. I’m trying to upload a square image, but it’s forcing me to crop it into a 16:9 rectangle.

    Could you consider adding support for multiple cropping options? Thanks!

    Hi Paula - thank you for the feedback. I understand that the image cropper now forces everyone to crop images in the 16:9 aspect ratio. This could be limiting, when your images don't fit in the required dimensions.

    Happy to inform you that we are already working on this. The upcoming release will remove the image cropper altogether and allow simple upload. You will be able to upload image of your choice without having to crop it first.

    Update - this feature has been released. We have removed the image cropper and allow you to upload image in any aspect ratio.
