Hi Shubhada - we'll need more information to identify and fix the issue. Could you please:

    1. Is this error reported for all the job posts?
    2. Could you verify some of the job posts on this URL: https://search.google.com/test/rich-results .
    3. Make sure that the location is specifid in the Job Posting. It's important requirement of the structured data markup. If location is specified and yet Google reports error, let us know about the live job posts for which the error is shown.

    Thanks.

error reported for only "remote" job posts. As 70% jobs are remote jobs in blockchain industry - remote jobs option is mandatory - many companies do not mention location. I verified the job posts on given url , It says Crawl check_circle Crawled successfully on 20 Jan 2026, 14:20:11 Detected items error Solutions Architect 1 critical issue 3 non-critical issues

We have investigated the issue and wanted to clarify what we’ve done and what’s going on.

The warning you saw in Google Search Console is related to how Google validates remote job postings in structured data. For remote roles, Google requires two things in the job schema:

    1. The job must be marked as remote (TELECOMMUTE)
    2. Google also expects at least one applicant country to be specified.

Even if a role is remote from anywhere, Google currently does not accept a completely country agnostic setup. Without a country present, it shows a validation warning.

To keep your job posts eligible for Google Jobs and avoid repeated errors, we’ve updated the schema so that:

    1. Remote jobs are always marked correctly as ‘remote’.
    2. A default applicant country is included to satisfy Google’s requirements.

This does not affect how the job is displayed or who can actually apply. It’s only a technical requirement for Google’s indexing system.

That said, structured data is simply a signal to Google about the actual data. It does not directly affect ranking. Your job posts can still be indexed even with error.

100% compliance to Google’s specifications will require complicating the job posting form and it adds several restrictions. For further details, refer to: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/job-posting

We are looking into ways to improve the job posting experience as well as compliance with Google’s schema so that there is wider acceptance of the structured data by Google Search Console.
