Listicle Post Type: Thoughts?

Someone asked if we could create a “Listicle” post type in Jatra. This would be perfect for communities or brands that often publish list-style content such as “Top 10 Courses for Students” or “5 Best Laptops for Designers.”

Right now, there’s no ETA or confirmation if this feature will be added.
However, here are some potential use cases where this post type could add real value:

Example Use Cases

1. Product Recommendations:
   Curate “Top 10 Tools for Remote Teams” or “Best Email Marketing Platforms” with affiliate or referral links.

2. Learning Resources:
   Share “10 Free Coding Courses for Beginners” or “5 Books Every Entrepreneur Should Read.”

3. Community Highlights:
   Feature “Top Discussions This Month” or “5 Most Helpful Members of the Week.”

4. Event or Deal Roundups:
   Create “Upcoming Webinars in October” or “Best Black Friday SaaS Deals.”

5. Internal Curation:
   Allow moderators or admins to post “Editor’s Picks” or “Most Viewed Articles of the Week.”

Thoughts:

1. Listicle may allow us to render the article differently than regular article.

2. May help us create comparison tables quickly

3. Can receive a boost in search results and LLM referrals.

Note: We already have a backlog of some of the most important post-types including “Group Chats / Rooms”, “Webinars / Events with RSVP” and others. Those will have higher priority. I’ve shared this right now; only to refer it in future.
