Announcing Jatra Polls : The Most Beautiful Polling System You've Ever Seen

Polls has been one of the features that we planned in the core - when we launched the 'MVP' of Jatra. However, we delayed the launch; because of the architectural changes it required.

From a "Post Type" to "Attachment"

The MVP of Jatra planned to introduce polling system as a separate "post-type". It means community owners would have to create a new channel with "poll" post type just to host polls. However, this is not natural.

Most of the times, poll is a part of a discussion or an article. Therefore, we decided to ship poll as an attachment to existing post-type.

You can have between 2-4 options for each poll along with a few micro-utilities to auto-close the poll after some time. You may also choose when the results are shown.

We sincerely believe that polls would be a handy tool to take your discussions to a new level. It's amazing to gather quick feedback, request opinions from members and seeing what your members want without efforts.

As a Jatra Community Owner - you have immediate access to Jatra's polling system. Polls are supported on Discussion, Announcement and Article Post Types - and are completely optional.
