Jatra : February 2026 Update

I thought of sharing an update on what’s cooking behind the scenes at Jatra HQ. This should prepare you for the upcoming changes.

Current Progress:

We began the process of rewriting Jatra’s core around October 2025. The rewrite is done and we are testing it for scale and stability as we migrate customer communities to new hardware.

This process broke all our estimates; however, we were able to make significant changes to the core that should help us build cool features efficiently. For example:

• Multiple communities per customer: You can now have more than communities under the same email ID. This helps with billing as well.

• Self-managed billing: We’re soon moving to a dedicated billing portal where you can self-manage billing and subscription.

There’s no set ETA for these features as of now. I’ll share more information in coming days.

We are planning for several UI changes as well. Ability to customize community colors and adjust the look and feel to suit your needs. A beta is expected by first week of March, 2026.

In addition - the admin panel is being rebuilt for mobile experience. The admin panel is not optimized for mobile; and that is causing issues with administration on the go.

We are introducing better spam management in this month. You’ll be able to ban users and have better control over content shared on the community.
