Apps or Websites Similar to Discord

Can someone suggest apps or websites similar to Discord? I am looking to build a small community of friends and family; and we need something that is similar to Discord.

Discord’s UI is complicated for most of our members. I want something that is simple to use, supports chats and does not overwhelm the community with constant messages and notifications. Thank you in advance.
