• I am working on a stealth mode B2B startup and looking to start a community. Slack is our obvious choice because most of our customers already have it on their mobiles and desktops. I think getting new members to join our community will be easy.

However, a part of me says Slack is not a community platform. I like the UI/UX and overall chats and it’s a great tool. There is one big problem with Slack though.

It is difficult to build engagement. In my previous startup, I tried to build a community on Slack and it was easy for us to get new members. However, we could never get people to engage in meaningful conversations.

I am looking at Jatra as a Slack alternative. Open to suggestions. Thank you!

I'm a big fan of Slack - but only if it's used as a communications tool. Won't recommend it for someone trying to build a community.
