I noticed that Jatra is advertised as white-label community platform. I keep hearing the term ‘white-label’ but don’t know what it actually means.

Does it just remove branding, or there is more to it? How does a white-label community platform like Jatra help my business and my community? Would love to have a simple explanation.

Haha, good question, Natasha! Jatra is of course a white-label community platform. So, the term "white-label" comes from the retail industry.

Imagine a plain product like a bottle of shampoo with no label on it. A brand can stick their own label and sell it as their own. That's where the name comes from: a "white label" that's ready to be branded.

In the community platform context, white-label means the software doesn't promote its own brand. Instead, it lets you fully brand the platform as your own. This usually includes:

    • Your own logo, brand colors and a custom domain.
    • No mention of the platform provider (No Powered By XYZ)
    • Seamless user experience that feels 100% like your own product

Jatra is a white-label community platform. It lets you do all of the above; but a lot of our customers choose to not remove "Powered by Jatra Community Platform". It's an offering available in our Business+ plans.

    With Jatra, you can have:

    1. Your community running on your own domain or subdomain.
    2. Have your logo
    3. Set custom theming

...and more. I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you have further questions.
