Introducing Events on Jatra 🎉

We're excited to announce "Events" - natively supported 'event' post-type on Jatra.

Your community’s events can now live where your community already does.

With Jatra Events, hosts can publish online or in-person events, choose the date and timezone, add up to three community members as hosts, collect RSVPs and share joining information - all without sending members to another platform.

Members can:

• Discover events directly in the community feed.

• RSVP with one click.

• Add confirmed events to their calendar.

• See who else is attending when the attendee list is public.

• Access the joining link after confirming their RSVP.

Hosts can view attendees and export their display names and email addresses as a CSV when they need to share additional information.

Every event also gets a dedicated, responsive page with structured event data for search engines. Private-channel events continue to follow the community’s existing access rules.

Events are available to every Jatra community. Community owners can get started by creating a channel with Event as its post type.

This is the first version, and we’ve intentionally kept it simple. We’d love to hear how you use it and what would make Events more useful for your community.
