Why integrate a Changelog tool with Community Platform?

Prior to developing Jatar, I built a community of developers for a fast-growing SaaS. I realised that we had to subscribe to a feedback + changelog management tool (~$99/mo) and we were catering to our community audience.

Here’s how our workflow looked like:

1. Publish changelog on the changelog tool

2. Inform our community members by making a post about it on the community

3. Send newsletter or update to all the community members

This looked like too much work just to inform the community that we have a new version of the software ready.
