After several weeks of silence, I thought I’d give our fellow Jatra family members an update on what’s happening behind the scenes.

We spent past 3 months building the ‘Channels’ functionality. Jatra now supports Private, Public and Restricted Channels. This is a foundational feature that sets us up for upcoming features development.

Channel management is a core feature that almost all community platforms support. Having used multiple community building platforms to host different types of communities, we wanted to simplify channel management for our customers.

The popular community platforms complicate this process. You have to first create groups, roles, permissions and then assign the groups to the channels.

We didn’t want to do that!

We spent weeks analysing the competition and figuring out the best way to build feature that is intuitive to use for all our amazing community builders. I am impressed with Jatra’s approach to channel management.

What’s Next?

With robust channel management in place, we are now pumped up to launch new features to 10x your community building game. Pretty soon you -

1. Will have ability to host jobs right within your community. No need to post your jobs elsewhere. Hire from your own community!

2. Enhanced member profile and management system

3. Member list access for community managers and owners
