Jatra Community Platform - November 2026 Update
It's time to give you a sneak peek at what we're cooking at Jatra. The upcoming updates are far more exciting than what we already published.
Here's a quick recap of Jatra's latest update:
New Admin Panel and Theme Studio
We spent considerable time rebuilding Jatra's admin panel. The settings are now logically grouped and it makes way for upcoming additions to it. We sincerely believe that the admin panel is easier to navigate. It may take a minute to get used to it though.
Jatra Theme Studio
A picture is worth 1000 words. So here we go -
We replaced the older them panel with a dedicated theme studio. This is currently in beta and may have a few rough edges. Be assured that Jatra gets improvements almost every week - so expect updates to the theme studio. We're also working on some amazing default themes so that your community looks stunning to all your visitors and accessible to your members.

We rewrote the backend to support beautiful reactions instead of just likes. However, it's a toggle. If you prefer 'likes' you can just toggle the switch in:
Admin Panel -> Members & Engagement -> Reactions
We strongly recommend keeping reactions. Almost everyone loves them!
Storage Overview
Jatra automatically optimises all your uploads with industry-leading compression engine. Each plan comes with defined storage limit. We have rolled out a quick overview of your storage right within your admin panel:

Animated Hero Panels
You may have noticed that we've launched animated hero panels. These are the first attention grabbers and we wanted to make them look really good. I'd say - these panels are still work in progress. I expect more templates, variations and design options soon.
Enhanced User Profiles
We've redesigned the user profiles; and now there's a dedicated user profile edit page. You can add all your details including your social media accounts and website links. Here's how it looks -
User profiles now show a lot of interesting and userful information about your contributions to the community.
SEO Updates
We tweaked the core a lot to enhance the SEO capabilities of Jatra. There were a few rough edges that could have prevented Google from indexing pages on your community. Those have been sorted.
We worked really hard on improving the site loading speed. Especially on large communities with tens of thousands of threads, loading indexes was a problem. All Jatra-powered communities should load super fast now.
What are we cooking?
Next up is better post creation and editing experience. We're working really hard on this. The goal is to allow members to be able to create posts without much thinking. For example, users have to supply Title and Body to create a discussion. We've come up with a beautiful way to solve this problem. More about this soon.
We've reworked the text-editor and our initial tests show amazing improvements in overall smoothness in working with the text editor. There are several small enhancements - which we'll talk about soon!
