Jatra V. 3.7 # New Feature :: Hero Panels + Layout Update
We are excited to release the latest version of Jatra - 3.7. This release packs one of the most awaited feature: Hero Panels.
Hero Panels:
Jatra's Hero Panels allow admins to create announcements like never before. You have an option to choose from 12 ready-made, beautiful themes to inform, educate or inspire your community members. Layout Updates:
Jatra has now adapted a newer layout - and it serves as our default layout. Following is the summary of the changes introduced in the new layout, as compared to the older default theme:
Left Sidebar: We've revamped it, replaced the channe-icons with uniform
#icon for public channels. The left sidebar also includes static links like: Home, Direct Messages and My Activity. Plus, public and private channels are separated for easy navigation.Channel Unread Post Counts: Jatra keeps track of new posts in each channel since your last activity. The number of unread posts is shown next to the channel. We hope you will find this useful.
Right Sidebar: The right sidebar now adapts the design language of the left sidebar and is now more consistent with the overall layout.
Recently Active Members: The list of recently active members is now replaced with overlapping icons - a better visual upgrade. We rewrote the logic to render the recently active members. Now, any active member is quickly added to the list based on their activity on the site. You can hover over the overlapping icons and see the user's display name.
Latest Activity Feed: We've rolled out a better-looking activity feed in the right sidebar. It's more readable and useful.
Font Update
We've replaced our older InterVariable font with the new Geist font. The typography has been reworked as well to make the community more readable.
Faster 🚀
This update also improves the architecture to support even faster page loads. You may not notice the difference because Jatra is already fast! 😉
