• I’m looking for a better Skool alternative to build a community. I think Skool is designed for course creators and is optimized for managing online courses, I’m in search of a community platform that offers more flexibility.

I want a tool that supports various types of communities and provides more features for user engagement, such as better customisation, advanced communication tools, and diverse content management options.

Ideally, this platform should be more adaptable than Skool for creating connections among members and enhancing overall community interactions.

Can anyone recommend a better community platform that serves as a superior alternative to Skool, offering richer features for building and managing thriving communities?

If you ask a barber whether you need a haircut, the answer will always be 'yes'. I'm the founder of Jatra (this community platform), but I'll answer anyway.

Skool communities are designed for creators and their entire feature-set, support and ecosystem is designed around helping supporters. I like their approach. A lot of our customers wanted to go with Skool, but chose us. Overall UI, our upcoming feature set, approach and our community-building support to every Jatra community owner motivated them to choose Jatra over Skool.

Now - the choice of community platform depends totally upon the kind of community and the audience you wish to serve.

If you wish to build a private community of people with up to 20 people; I recommend Slack. If you are a course creator, I think Circle would be my recommendation (at least for the next few months). If you are looking to build a gaming community, you may look at Discourse.

Jatra, has a much wider use-case. It's meant to serve businesses and serious community builders who want organic growth and multiple ways of engaging users. For example, we support discussions, chats, articles, jobs, events and more. It means you have more than one way of keeping users engaged.

I won't say we are superior to Skool (at least as of now), but we are building fast and are driven 100% by our customer feedback.

Are you sure? This action cannot be undone.
