Hi everyone! I am researching on the online forums and wish to have honest opinions on the future of online forums. My research is focused on the importance and relevance of Internet forums.

I am curious to know whether there will be resurgence of online forums or do you think that they are no longer popular?

Please be as detailed as you can in your response. Thank you in advance.

Hey Sia, welcome to the Jatra Community Platform. I hope you will get the responses you are looking for.

I've already expressed my thoughts through a detailed article that argues that forums are not dead and in fact, they are thriving. The data also shows that modern forums are evolving faster.

The future of online forums is in immersive experiences. For over a decade, the forum software has focused only on discussions. There was no innovation until now. Jatra is an online forum software. It takes the entire forum experience to next level by allowing articles, chats, quizzes, events and more.

I do believe that online forums will keep evolving and better at building deeper connections among members. The social media has completely failed at building deeper connections among members.

Thank you for the response. I did read your article. By immersive experience - do you mean technologies like AR and VR will take over?

Nothing to worry about the future of online forums. Online forums are not dead, they are thriving. People are no longer very active on social media and are choosing niche communities to find like-minded people. It's such a good diversion from the chaos of the social media.
