SEO Booster: "DiscussionForumPosting", "Article", "NewsArticle" Structured Data Support

We have released an important SEO update for all Jatra powered communities. Jatra now automatically adds “DiscussionForumPosting”, “Article” and “NewsArticle” structured data to your content.

What is Structured Data?

Search engines have to ‘crawl’ (read) billions of pages and 'make sense’ of the content, to keep their algorithms up to date. This requires lot of computing power.

Structured Data is a special code snippet injected into the HTML of a web-page with explicit clues about the meaning of the page. It’s a standardized format for providing information about the webpage - a forum post discussion, article, recipe page, product review etc.

How Does It Help You with SEO?

Adding structured data to your web-pages help search engines quickly make sense of the web-page. Instead of letting search engines figure out what the content is about; you help them understand it better.

In short, structured data drastically improves your chances of appearing in Google search results.
