We recently received a request for the ability to add sitewide banner to the community. The goal is to be able to create a space for announcing something that is shown to everyone in a way it can't be missed. We created a prototype to get feedback from you. Here's how it looks. Notice the "Community update" section added below the breadcrumb bar. The admin will have a full control over when the banner goes live, how long it stays and they can even add a CTA / Button and link to a page of their choice - internal or external. If we rolled out this feature - how'd you use it? If you have ideas for this feature - please share them through the comments. We'll build it only if the feedback is positive and there are some real use-cases for this feature. We look forward to receiving your feedback.

I think this will be perfect because that banner space can accommodate adverts, more so, add a few banners (sell products).

As a reminder, mid-last year, the Jatra team was working on something like that. Any updates?

@norman - the concept of banner is really simple - to show a message or announcement to guests and logged-in members. It may not be an ideal place for inserting adverts.

That said, adverts need to fit in the feed and on show pages - below or above the posts.

We do have the following on our roadmap:

1. Advertisement insert slots: Will allow pasting ad-code or create html ads. (TBD)
2. Product showcase is a planned feature; we're working on details. Because some communities may also sell services - we're exploring how to present this feature.
