Jatra’s version 2.4.4 brings a small, quality of live improvement. All the links now open in a new tab in browser.

A related issue was reported: https://community.jatra.club/feedback/can-links-in-private-channels-open-in-new-tab

Important Notes:

  1. Legacy links (already posted) will not be updated. They will open in the same tab.

  2. All the new links added after release of this update will open in separate tabs.

    You said "Legacy links (already posted) will not be updated. They will open in the same tab." Can we make it applicable to earlier internal links added as right now my community have more than 16700 internal links .......... so this update will benefit me more....

    These updates apply to links shared in posts. This update doesn't apply to existing links (added before the update). Only new links created will open in new tabs.

    Processing legacy links is out of scope of this update. It requires processing all the posts, extracting links and modifying them.

    Recommendation: If there are specific, high-importance, popular articles - editing and saving them would make the links open in new tab.
